Twenty-eight years ago, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Epsilon Omicron Omega Chapter sorority member and much beloved founder of the Foundation for Educational Opportunities Inc., Allestein Willis, saw her vision of a non-profit organization dedicated to the furtherance of higher education and community enrichment geared toward supporting the Greater Hartford metropolitan area, become a reality. Established in 1994, the Foundation for Educational Opportunities Incorporated, commonly known as FEO, is a non-profit entity designed expressly to provide monies in the form of scholarship dollars to deserving college-bound students, and implement community based, self-improvement learning opportunities in the areas of health, education, family dynamics, and economics. Greater Hartford is energized and strengthen by these programs, and the resulting elevated dialogue that spotlights issues impacting underserved members of the community.

This program was designed as a community forum to explore and assist in banishing the stigma often associated with a diagnosis of depression post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, and other mental illnesses. Learn more >

This is a variety of programs that a focus on mentoring young women and families in the areas of academic achievement, financial aid, and career choices.
In this program, the young attendees are equipped skills needed to fully navigate their future and achieve their unique and highest potential. The Institute is centered on four foundational pillars aimed at developing a diverse range of leadership capabilities. These pillars include: Leading Self & Others, Civic Engagement & Social Responsibility, Professional Interests Exploration, and Health & Wellness.
