With most Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) located in the South, FEO and Epsilon Omicron Omega joined forces to bridge the geographic gap—creating a life-changing opportunity for 32 students from the Hartford area to engage directly with admissions representatives from over 40 HBCUs.
FEO and Epsilon Omicron Omega Chapter of the AKAs sponsored an all-expense-paid bus trip to New York City, where students attended the largest HBCU college fair on the East Coast.
This initiative gave students the tools, confidence, and access they needed to make college a reality.

Each year, FEO donates books to each child and the library at the Women’s League Child Development Center to inspire a love of literacy. To date, we’ve donated 500+ books…and counting to this award-winning program that serves low and moderate-income families.
Your incredible generosity and steadfast partnership over the years is an affirmation of our work for Hartford’s children, and our shared belief that a quality education is essential for all children. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit in May when you brought such a bounty of new books for our children. Wow! Your decades of book donations have ignited the joy of learning for countless children and families at the Women’s League. Every book placed into the hands of a young reader because of you has sparked curiosity and brought more smiles than we could possibly measure.
